Amenities
Kitchen and Breakfast
The kitchen is fully equipped for guests who prefer to cook during their stay, with a stovetop, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a complete set of cooking utensils.
Each morning, breakfast is served at Riu, a cozy restaurant located directly across from Snow Monkey Lodge. The menu features a simple yet satisfying spread of eggs, toast, bacon or sausages, cereals, assorted spreads—and, of course, brewed coffee.
Living Room
This is a warm, communal space where you can settle in with your laptop, enjoy a board game, read a book, or make music. We have a grand piano, guitars, and wind instruments available - if you can play, we’d love to hear it!
Bunker Bar
A vibrant social space awaits in the lodge’s basement - perfect after a relaxing soak in the onsen. Here you’ll find good music, a great selection of beer, wine, and other drinks, plus board games for a fun, laid‑back atmosphere.
We’ll be hosting a New Year’s Eve party downstairs this year, so if you’re in town make sure to swing by for a lineup of fantastic DJ’s.
Onsen Facilities
In true Japanese tradition, bathing in natural hot spring water is the most relaxing way to unwind. The mineral-rich waters flow directly through the town and into our baths, with separate gendered onsen available to enjoy after a day outdoors.
Shared Bathrooms
Each of the three levels are equipped with separate men’s and women’s bathrooms, featuring heated toilets, playful artwork, and mirrored vanities. In total, the lodge offers 11 toilets, and the hallways are softly lit at night to ensure safe and easy navigation.
